// ABOUT

Ali E. Behzad.

I write about power, markets, and machines — and I build things in between.

BHZD is where I publish what I think and what I build. The writing leans toward strategy, economics, and the political currents underneath them, with a growing interest in how technology is rewriting the terms of all three. I read Machiavelli the way other people read self help, and I think most modern strategic writing is a footnote to him.

I try to write the way I would brief a friend over coffee. Clear, opinionated, occasionally wrong, always willing to be corrected. Every essay carries a conviction rating. High conviction means I would defend it publicly. Low conviction means I am thinking out loud and inviting the argument.

What you will find here

Articles are the long reads, essays on strategy, economics, and technology, argued properly rather than dashed off. Projects is the catalogue of things I have designed and shipped, usually solo. The Desk is the live layer, what I am reading and thinking about right now.

No feed, no algorithm, no noise. Just the writing and the work. If something here sharpens how you think, or you think I am wrong, the menu has every door.
